Angels

Angels are a core belief in Islam. Angels are not portrayed to have gender, but if they take the form of a human, it is always as a man. The most famous of these is the angel Jibreel (Gabriel), through whom Allah revealed the Quran to the Prophet Muhammad (salallaahu `alayhi wa sallam).

The following is a brief listing of prominent Angels found in Islamic scriptures.
